Paddington was once again invited to spend a few hours over the school half term with his friends from First Great Western at one of their stations to meet and greet travellers on the 14th, 15th and 16th February 2012.
The 2012 event took place at the historic Dalemain Mansion, in the Lake District, UK on February 25th and 26th 2012. The world's most famous marmalade lover, Paddington Bear, was there to enjoy the delicious marmalade tasting.
Harper Collins ran a competition for a chance to join Paddington in the Olympic Stadium parade on the 1st April and win a free copy of the latest picture book Paddington Goes for Gold.
After intense competition Paddington won a place to race on Sunday 1st April in the Gold Challenge event at the Olympic Stadium.

Come and meet Paddington at the world famous children's store, Hamleys, in London this Spring.
Paddington Bear greeted railway visitors at intervals throughout the day. The Café was also open offering food and there was plenty to tempt visitors in their well stocked shop.

Paddington Bear encouraged primary schools, nurseries and children's groups across the UK to take part in his annual Bring your Bear event during the summer to raise vital funds for his favourite children's charity, Action Medical Research.

Visitors to Waterstones in York, over half term, were able to take part in craft activities and enter Paddington competitions.
Paddington Bear was in York for the Autumn half term school holidays so visitors were encouraged to grab their duffle coats and marmalade sandwiches and head to the museum.
