Paddington on the big screen
Having been the subject of countless books and TV episodes, Paddington made his debut on the big screen in a magical adventure film which was released in the US in January 2015. Michael Bond’s beloved creation was brought to life by producer David Heyman (the Harry Potter films, Gravity) and director Paul King (Come Fly With Me, The Mighty Boosh) who are now working on a sequel scheduled to start production later this year for release November 2017.

The bear & his creator
It was while Michael Bond CBE was working as a television cameraman for the BBC in 1956 that he first came up with the idea for Paddington. Little could he have known then how many people from around the world would come to know and love his small bear from Peru.
